Houston High Alum and Case Western Reserve University senior Madeline Lindemann earned all-region honors for the second-straight year to help lead the Spartans to a ninth-place finish out of 34 teams at the 2019 NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Championship at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Lindemann placed seventh overall in the field of 233 runners to punch her ticket as an individual selection to the NCAA Championships for the second-straight year. She crossed the finish line of the course, which was run approximately 400 meters shorter than the usual 6K distance due to course conditions, with a time of 21:35.0
The finish was a three-spot improvement for Lindemann from last year’s meet, where she finished 10th overall.
Lindemann was a key component to the 2015 Girls Cross Country State Championship group which earned the program their 4th team title in school history.
